Fun in the Snow

Steve decided to stay home from work on Monday cuz it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing. So we ended up calling a bunch of friends over and we built a huge igloo in our backyard...

Here's to show how much snow we got. Crazy!

Jarom & Steve workin away

Helaman, Jeremy & Steve keep piling higher while Jarom's inside digging it out

So Jarom got really hot and decided to lay down in the snow. Ya, he got buried.

It's getting taller

While the boys worked on the igloo I decided to build a little snowman.

Isn't he cute? :-)

Aaron's packing the top

Getting ready to pock a ventilation hole through the top

Ooo... Looky Looky

We're going in! Guess how many people we fit in it...

I love these two pics!

Aaron, BJ, Steve (That's 3)

Sherry, Jarom, Lance (That's 6)

Pepe, Jeremy (That's 8)

Helaman, Danny & Me (That's a total of 11!) Can you believe it?

This is Jarom with his new invisible (frozen pants) girlfriend :-)

Then they decided to make it bigger.....
(they added another small igloo & a tunnel to the big one)

Can you tell that we had been out there for hours? I think it was 6 or 7 hours worth of igloo building.
Amazing!

Me n Stevie inside the igloo
(& yes, that's a grass stain on my snowpants from army crawling through the tunnel)

The finished product with all the amazing workers
(good thing it didn't cave in with all of them sitting on it)

Sledding at Midnight

Last Saturday after a big snow storm, Steve randomly decided to go sledding! So we put on all our snow gear and loaded up the truck with tubes, sleds and peeps and headed to Rock Canyon Park. Here's some pics to show how much fun we had... (P.S. I'm the one taking all the pics so that's why I'm not in any of them.)

Steve & Adam pushing BJ & Lance

Steve & Danny pushing Adam's girlfriend

Pepe being a stud

Huh?

We brought along the water balloon launcher & used it to launch snowballs. By the end of the night we were also using it to launch the tube down the hill. Which caused us to all end up in the street. :-)

The massive train ready to go down the hill

There they go...

It was a fun filled night!

It's for real!

Steve & I heard our baby's heartbeat today! It was so cute & exciting! Steve kept commenting on how fast it was. Hearing it has made the pregnancy feel more believable. Now we can't wait to find out what we're having!

My Almost 12 Weeks Prego Belly

For some reason-my prego belly really decided to show itself this past Saturday at the Rex Family Christmas dinner. I don't know if it was the really tight pants or the big dinner I ate that made it pop out. :-) But here's some pics to enjoy of me & Steve bein us...

He really enjoys biting my fingers for some reason :-)

Kissy! Kissy! (You can really see the baby in this one)

Ahhhh

We love bein cheesy!
And Steve sure loves his new fro hair-do & beard.
What do you think?

I'm Auntie Jessie!

Steve & I are finally an uncle & aunt! Our niece Emma Marie Flanagan was born on Dec 4th at 12:09 am in D.C. 7 lbs 3.9 oz 20" long. She is such a cutie with tons of dark hair. I definitely think she looks like a Flanagan baby. :-)

Here's the new little family...

So cute!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Since my mom was in D.C. for Thanksgiving, Steve & I spent the day with the Scholle's. We started out having a blast at the park playing Frisbee golf, football & soccer. Then we went to the house & played some pretty hilarious games. Such as...

pass the apple neck to neck & pass the life saver sucker to sucker

It was pretty entertaining. We got some pretty funny pictures that look like everyone's making out with each other. But I'll save you & myself the grossness of it & you can just imagine what it might've looked like. :-)

After games, we ate the famous delicious turkey dinner. After which we got to enjoy the yummy pies I made the day before (raspberry, pumpkin, keylime & apple) Then we ended the night with even more games. :-) My dad kicked butt at Clue & I think Steve ended up winning Scattergories. Overall, it was a pretty fun filled day & a well needed break.

A few things I'm thankful for....

*Steve
*The baby growing inside my tummy
(even though it drains my body) :-)
*My family
*The Gospel
*My Bed! :-)
*A roof over my head
*My job
*The ability to read & write
*Water

Provo Temple

Steve and I finally got around to getting a picture in front of the Provo temple after a session we did with our friends Steph & Mark.

It's pretty funny how pregnancy really hinders my memory. I just kept forgetting all sorts of things during the session. (I forgot to give Steve his family name before he went into the locker room, I forgot my envelope and had to go back to get it & I also forgot the name)

Crazy me! :-)

It's not fair!

So I've decided that being a pregnant woman isn't fair. MY body is the one that has to change completely and all Steve has to do is put up with me. Nothing changes for him. But MY physical features, mood swings, sleeping habits, energy levels, eating habits, senses, attention span, memory, etc are all changing. And who knows if I'll ever go back to who I was before. It's pretty amazing what we women go through to be moms. But I do know that it will be all worth it in the end when I'm holding a little baby in my arms.

*Twilight*

I went and saw the Twilight movie today. Let me just say that I loved it! I went into it not expecting much-prepped for disappointment. But I actually liked it! It was too short-I wanted more. :-) And I must say that Edward has me hooked. :-) I definitely can't wait for the next movie.

Exciting News...

We're having a baby! Yes, it's true!

It happened faster than we expected but we are so excited to finally be parents! We found out the day after Halloween. I told Steve by showing him this cute onesie... I thought it would be perfect for our baby since Steve loves working with his tools. :-)

Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty fun Halloween! I spent the day with my cute preschoolers. Then I came home and made pumpkin sugar cookies, we ate the traditional broccoli cheese soup in pumpkin bread bowls, passed out candy to trick-or-treaters and visited some friends and family. We were going to watch Casper-but Steve got too involved in ESPN and before we knew it, it was bed time. :-)

Anyway, I just love Halloween! My favorite part is dressing up. So naturally, Steve & I like to have matching costumes and we love it! So here's some Halloween pics to enjoy to show off our cool costumes. :-)

Last year we were Mario & Luigi

This year we were Granny Wolf & Little Red Riding Hood

I can't wait to see what we'll be next year! :-)

I'm all about decorating for holidays. So here's our festive outside Halloween decorations. We even had spooky music playing through the kitchen window. My preschoolers made the milk jug jack-o-lanterns. So cute! If you look in the bottom right corner you'll see Danny's pumpkin man. :-)

Here's us with our favorite friends-Brian, Matt & Mike

Brain didn't know what to think about Steve's costume

The Christensen "teen" cousins
(Taylor, Colby & Cody are Mexicans :-) )

With my mom. Yes, she borrowed our Luigi costume.

Can you guess who this might be?.....
(Shhh... it's my daddy :-) )

Say Cheese!

Here's me (Cinderella) with my adorable preschoolers.

Stevie's New Toy!!! (& VERY long project)

For the past year or so Steve has developed a new hobby in mechanics. He asks for tools for his birthday and Christmas. While he does his homework, he surfs the internet looking at classic cars and monitoring Corvettes on KSL. He even got the ultimate job that he loves-an installer at Pep Boys. His job is a great learning experience for him and if he stays with the company for at least 6 months, they'll pay for him to go to mechanics school. He would LOVE that. He's now considering being a high school Spanish AND auto teacher. (Talk about having a job you enjoy! :-) )

He's been talking about wanting to buy and restore an old car for a while now. Well, after much convincing-I finally let him buy a project car yesterday. (Thanks to Josh for making it possible by letting Steve use your trailer and such.) Steve was so excited about it. I had never seen him so gitty and happy before-it was so cute! It was definitely a can't pass up opportunity. So we currently have a 1975 Corvette Stingray sitting in our driveway waiting to be restored. I can't wait! (Too bad I have to wait several years before I can ride around in a fancy Corvette.) :-)

Vroom! Vroom!
