Of course, after a good morning of wide awake happy behavior,
we had to try to console him with his binky during pictures.
The photographer ended up having to come back later.

Last week we babysat Steve's little brother & sister Aaron & Mary while the rest of the family went on a pioneer trek. To start out our fun time together, we went to Cowabunga Bay. It was a fun filled day full of water, splashes, slides, and sunburns galore. :-) We discovered that it's a fun water park but too small to spend a full day there. So if we ever go again we'd only pay for 1/2 a day.

Pioneer Day weekend Steve played in a couples volleyball tournament in Sandy with my aunt Jenny. It was an all day event full of game after game in the blazzin' hot sun. Cooper, my dad, and I spent the day under a canopy cheering them on.

I can't believe Cooper is already a month old and growing so fast! He now weighs 9 lbs 6 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. At his 2 week old check up he weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long-both stats in the 50th percentile.
The past month with our little Cooper has been fun. He is so enjoyable to have around and we love to watch him while he makes all sorts of Cooper sounds and movements. :-) His most popular sound is the horse sound he makes when he sleeps. He also grunts a lot. And he loves noise! He sleeps best when he's around lots of noisy people and when lights are on.
He's finally starting to sleep a little more at night. Instead of waking up to eat every 2 hours, it's every 3-4 hours. So that's a plus! :-)
Here's some pictures to illustrate his first month of his life...
