Spring Break in Mesquite

For spring break I took a trip down to Mesquite to visit my grandparents. I took my dad, aunt Lara, and cousins Taylor & Cody along. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time. I loved being able to sit by the pool while socking up the warm sun and listening to the sounds of nature. It was a short but sweet trip and I look forward to another one.

Just relaxin'

I was sad I couldn't enjoy the hot tub...
Taylor, Lara & Cody seemed to enjoy it tho!

My handsome 50 year old daddy!

We went to the Michael Ballam concert at the local high school.

In addition to work & school,
this is what Steve got to enjoy while I was gone...
Glad I left! :-)

HaPpY eAsTeR!!!

Steve and I spoke in sacrament on Easter Sunday this year. We even got to speak with our friend Jarom as the youth speaker. I enjoyed the fact that it helped us think more about the spiritual aspects of Easter.

I truly know that the Savior died for me so that I can live with my family for eternity. What a blessing to know that because the Savior was resurrected, we too can be resurrected and live with our Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful that Steve and I chose to be sealed in the temple for eternity and that our little Cooper can be born under the covenant. I don't know what my life would be like with out our little family. I look forward to spending forever with my Stevie by my side. What a blessing!

Aside from the spiritual meaning of Easter we also got to have our traditional scavenger hunt at my mom's....

It was a race between me, Steve and my cousins Courtney & Colby
"On your mark, get set, GO!"

Look, I found my second clue!

"Hurry, Hurry! You're in my way!"

I win!

After much waiting, searching,
and somehow skipping one of his clues,
Steve finally found his Easter basket behind the fire place.

It's really hard to get a normal picture of us sometimes... :-)

My beautiful mother! Thanks mom for the fun filled Easter!

Let's go fly a kite!

My Mechanic

This is what most of Steve's weekends are spent doing...

If I can't find him in the house, he's most likely in the garage. :-)

He likes to have his bud Jarom come help him out. For this particular job, they were replacing the rotary axle & break pads on my cousins jeep. It took them ALL day...

He does a lot of break jobs & oil changes for friends and relatives. He's even replaced a belt before and is always willing to try new things. But don't try bringing him a German car-he refuses to work on them. :-)

I love that Steve has found a new hobby that he his so passionate about. It makes him so happy and even more knowledgeable. It comes in handy too! And I don't even mind all the greasy laundry I have to do. :-)

Stevie & His Little Friends

Steve & I have discovered that the majority of our favorite friends are under the age of 8. :-) We just love being able to act silly and be kids with them. Here's a few of his favorites that he can't resist loving....

Joey & Brigham

Hailey

& Emma

Some other friends of ours that we don't have pictures with are Chadley & Dallin, Matt, Mike, Brian & Chris, and Adam & Spencer. We also really miss our last year's next door neighbor Eli. He was a character! :-)

Guitar Hero-World Tour Baby

This is what a lot of my evenings are spent observing and being highly entertained by....

(Jarom, BJ, Helaman & Steve)

I just love Jarom's tongue sticking out & how focused they all are!
You gotta love these boys!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

March 9th was my 22nd birthday! I got spoiled...

The Friday before my birthday we went to Ruby River Steak House for dinner and celebrated my sisters birthday too since she'd be in DC for hers. It was deeeelicious!
