My sister and her cute little family are coming to visit in a few weeks. Yeah! They're coming to attend her brother-in-law's wedding and she's throwing a baby shower for me while she's here. She even gets to find out the gender of their baby that week. I'm so excited and I can't wait! I love you sis!

Steve's 26th birthday
Steve celebrated his golden 26th birthday on the 26th of January. Which is what he enjoyed pointing out to everyone. :-) I think his favorite part about his birthday celebrations was the friends and family dinner we had for him at our house the Sunday before. He invited a lot of friends from Fresno that he recently ran into at his friend's wedding. We had a delicious spaghetti and meatballs dinner, all the "Fresno buddies" played games on the regular Nintendo system to bring back old memories, they even looked through some old pictures, and he got spoiled with presents even though he claimed he didn't want anything. He did request that his birthday candles be made out of peanut butter Twix's. Which sadly, we couldn't pull off so I made up for it by giving him four king size servings. Then on his actually birthday we took him to dinner at Maria Bonita's-his favorite Mexican restaurant-and went to the BYU vs San Diego home game. Which I know Steve loved as well. Especially since BYU won and Jimmer was amazing as usual. He bought the tickets to the game about a month before and he was a little hesitant to save a ticket for me to go with him because I'm not fun to watch games with. But in the end, I went and I'm hoping I was a good enough fan for his liking. :-) Besides, it's a little easier for me to pay attention when I'm actually at the event instead of sitting at home watching it on TV with a lot of other distractions around me. All in all, it was a great birthday for him! Thanks Steve for being such a hard worker in school, work, and around the house. We love you!

An Update on Our House
Well, we've had a lot happen with our house this winter. We started off with a mice infestation. I think we ended up killing about 15 before we finally stopped seeing or cleaning up after them. I just hope they don't ever come back because exterminators charge outrages prices. The list of things goes on... One Sunday I decided to put potato peelings down the disposal. Ya, I won't be doing that again. Steve was up all night trying to unclog the drain. Thanks Steve for fixing my mistake! Then one of our above ground pipes in our side yard decides to break again like it did last winter. It was shooting an Old Faithful a few feet into the air and created a 4 inch pool of water in our backyard. We thought we had fixed it already. But apparently not. So we went about 5 days with no water while Steve fixed it. On top of that, we came back from our trip to Disney World and our heater was broken. All three of us slept that night bundled up in our bed with socks and sweatshirts on because our house was 50 degrees cold. It took about a week or two and several visits from the heater technician to finally get it working again. The odd thing is, it wasn't working right after the technicians last visit but it just randomly decided to start working a few days later. Then Steve accidentally shatters the glass window to our fire place and gives up on trying fix it. On top of all that, we hear the many sounds of a construction site through all hours of the night. But I think I'm gradually starting to get immune to it. Oh, and we now have ants in the kitchen again. One morning I found a long line of ants on my counter leading from the sink to a wrapper from a Reese's that was left out. But ants aren't as bad as mice so I try not to complain too much. I just drown them without feeling guilty. :-) Having all these eventful events happen with our house has made us rewrite a list of what we want in our next house. It's kind of a long list too. :-)
Even though we've had these little mishaps, we've also been having fun doing some remodeling. We got a new bed spread and painted our bedroom, we painted the bathroom and tiled the bathroom floor, and now we're working on painting the baby's room. It's been fun to see what a little paint and touch ups can do to make the house look better. It's also fun to have a little change. I'll have to post some pictures. And our next big project will be remodeling the kitchen!

The baby is almost here!
Well, I only have 5 1/2 more weeks to go and I still don't feel as big as I did with Cooper. But I definitely fill the stretching coming on! :-) And sleeping is a hassle. I'm not swollen like I was with Cooper either. I've been craving sugar so I've been eating lots of fruit and sweets. I've probably eaten more fruit in the last month than I have over a 6 month time period normally. I also crave meat (hamburgers, chicken nuggets, steak) and rootbeer! I'm starting to notice my 'waddle' more. She is still such a mover! I feel her all the time. Lately she's been pushing against me so I have to push back to make her stop. I feel her in my ribs and sometimes I'll feel her in my lower ribs and above my opposite hip at the same time. She got the hiccups for the first time the other day. Cooper likes to give my belly kisses every once in a while. We still need to finish her room. I'll be sure to post pictures when it's finished. We at least have another crib set up though-but no bedding. :-) The name we really like as of now is Aurora Jane. I'm really excited for our little princess to arrive! I just can't believe the time is almost here and I hope she waits as long as possible so I can get everything ready in time.
P.S. I'll be working up until I go into labor, I just hope it doesn't happen while I'm actually at work-that'd be embarrassing. :-)

Cooper at 18 months! (more like 20 months)
I can't believe he's a year and a half! Ah! (technically by now he's 20 months) Our little man is growing up way too fast. He gets bigger and bigger everyday. He's even already growing out of his 18 month size clothes. And we just love him bunches!!!!
Coop's 18 month stats:
weight: 25 lbs 4 oz (45%tile)
height: 33 in (75%tile)
head: 49 cm (80%tile)
teeth: At 9 months he got his bottom front 2 teeth, then around 12-15 months he got a top molar on each side and his front side tooth. He now has a total of 12 teeth-the top and bottom 4 and a molar on each top and bottom side. He went from 5-12 within a short period of time. Most of the recent teeth came in during our two week trip to Florida. He likes to gnaw on his fingers when a tooth comes in.
About Cooper at 20 months:
He is all over the place! He loves to run around, spin in circles while looking to the side, roll off the big bean bag, jump up and down, jump off the couch, sing in a language we don't understand, dance, climb into his high chair and on the table and anything else he can, shoot hoops, mimic words, throw all his toys, (We're trying to teach him to only throw balls since most of his toys hurt when thrown. At church a few weeks ago he threw one of his toy cars and it hit the baby sitting behind us and gave him a goose egg on his forehead.) watch Nemo, Buzz, or Panda, "golf" and "bat" with tennis rackets and balls, pretend that his food and all of his toys can fly, help around the house with cleaning (sweeping, emptying the dishwasher, dusting, and vacuuming) and fix it projects, play in water, make all sorts of sound affects noises, play with his uncle Pepe, tell mama and dada what to do and where to go, read A Mouse in the House and Mess Monsters, look out the window while driving in the car, snuggle with blankets-LOTS of blankets, eat breakfast with his Pooh, Mickey, and Baby stuffed animals, (he also 'feeds' them), play in dads "ssslide" (the hammock), throw all of his stuffed animals into his sisters crib then get in the crib to jump around and throw all the animals back out so he can do it all over again, throw his dirty diapers in the "arbage", (Although, he usually hates getting his diaper or outfit changed and won't lay still. If he had his way, he'd run around naked all the time.), pull off his socks, blow kisses, give hugs, hug babies, go down slides, eat "en eyes" (french fries), "gakit" (chocolate), and "bed" (banana bread), push the buttons to turn on the dishwasher and dryer and shut the garage door, play with mom's doll house, (mostly by letting all the people slide down the roof), brush his teeth, take medicine or vitamin drops, (he always asks for more) throw things down the stairs, have mama and dada do or eat whatever he does, eat ice, rub his hands with "boap" (soap), snuggle up with dad in dad's bed, color, watch videos of himself, laugh/giggle, entertain others, play with cars, watching himself in the mirror, putting things back, (Well, some things-I'm having a hard time getting him to out his toys away at the end of the day. But he does really good at putting his drink back in the fridge.) playing with his food (and sometimes throwing it) when he's done, eating cereal, drinking the milk from his bowl, and just being cute!

Some Memories:
He's officially been in nursery for 2 months now. The first time he went he cried for the first hour than he was fine. When I went to pick him up he ran across the room to me yelling mama and ended up tripping over his shoes right before he reached me. :-) Now when he goes, he cries for about a minute then he's fine the rest of the time. I like to peek in on him and he's so cute to watch. He learned the word "mine" in nursery and how to rub his hands together with soap or hand sanitizer.
Steve took Cooper to Spencer's basketball game and Cooper was so mad he couldn't run onto the court and play with the ball. He kept screaming ball the whole game.
When my cousin Brittni was giving me a pedicure, Cooper kept trying to push her hand away and he'd panic and say "ow". Then once he realized it didn't hurt mommy he decided he'd try filing his own toenails. :-)
He's been having a hard time going to sleep on his own lately. He always wants to stay up and play with dada. It doesn't help that Steve has to work till late every evening either. So lately when I've been putting him down for bed he says "back", meaning to rub his back for him, and "ing", meaning for me to sing songs for him. It helps calm him down but he rarely falls asleep while I do it. So I end up having to leave the room and hear him cry for dada until he finally falls asleep. The other night both Steve and I went into his room to tuck him in, when I left he didn't fuss at all. Then I came back in and Steve left and Cooper instantly got mad. So we know he's a dada's boy. :-) We just love our little man!!!
