Here's what happened in August...
A few hours after we got back from our reunion at Bear Lake Cooper slipped in the bath tub and hit his head on the soap holder. He got a gash just above his eye that wouldn't stop bleeding. So I took him to the Instacare to get his first set of stitches...
The gash
Proof that it wouldn't stop bleeding
He wouldn't keep the band-aid on either
The numbing bandage he kept pulling off
The stitches
The doctor gave him 3 stitches. They numbed the area with some gel so they didn't have to give him a numbing shot. He did pretty good while they were putting the stitches in except he hated the fact that the nurse and I were holding him down. So he was screaming and crying about that. But in the end, he was a tough little guy and mommy bought him a new ball for being such a good boy...
And he thought it'd be fun to wear one of mommy's bowls as a hat :-)
He only had to wear the stitches for a week and he even slept through the process of having them pulled out. What a tough, cute, and silly little boy!
We had a family goodbye party for the Cook's at the City Center park the night before they left for Africa. After the party, several family members, including Cooper and me, ran in the Orem City 'Run a Crook Out of Town' 5K... The Cook's and the Hessing's

We went to the Lehi Pool...Grandma and Aunt Mary came with us
(Yes, I was there. I'm just taking the picture)
He looks cold :-)
Cooper had a blast once he got used to it.

Every time the bell would ding, Cooper would look up at the bucket to see it spill over. He was scared of it at first but had fun with it later.
Our little Coop chillin' in his chair with his beach ball
We took the kids bowling for the first time...
Cooper wanted to do it all by himself
They loved it!
Emma could even carry the ball herself! You go girl!
Steve FINALLY got his Chevy running...
He took the whole engine apart and put it back together again. It took him a year to do it! But he did it. We now have 2 running vehicles. Yeah! And thankfully we were blessed with loaner vehicles from friends last winter while the unfinished Chevy sat in the garage.
I'll never forget how excited he was the first night it started. I'm so proud of you hunny!

(Sadly, I didn't get very many pictures. But we got my mom to go down most of the big slides, Steve flew a foot off of shotgun falls, we all enjoyed tube run and cave in together-even the kids, Cooper really enjoyed the kiddy pool slides and splashing toys, we spent $10 on a lousy hamburger, we tried out the new 'toilet bowl' ride, Steve went down the boomerang 3 times in a row, and of course, the kids were exhausted at the end of the day.)
