hApPy BiRtHdAy To YoU!

Steve's 24th birthday was yesterday. On Saturday we went to his favorite restaurant to celebrate-Maria Bonitas. Then last night we went to the Scholle's for presents and cake & ice cream. It was a fun filled event!

She's seriously the best ever!

PARTY AT THE SCHOLLE'S

His favorite boys (Mike, Brian, & Matt) came to celebrate with him!

The pretty pathetic birthday song..

Blowing out the candles

Yes, Steve loves his cereal!

We finally got a Wii!!!!!!!

I think you might say he was spoiled :-)

Guitar Hero

On Saturday, we had a stake young men and young women activity to introduce the new theme for the year. To kick off the announcement the stake young men president and the stake young women president decided to show everyone how great they are at playing guitar hero....

Sike! :-) There's secretly teenage pros playing behind the curtains. And the one on the right happens to be my awesome cousin Colby!

Basketball, Basketball, & More Basketball

So Steve's been pretty busy the past month or so with basketball. He is currently playing on two teams: the Elder's Quorum team and one of Pinnacle Security's teams. In addition, he is also coaching the young men's team. So my weeks are full of basketball games three days a week! :-) But you can imagine how much he loves it!!!

Here's some pics to enjoy... (keep in mind it's extremely difficult to get good action shots)

Coachin' the boys!
He's pretty amazing considering they're undefeated.

I still need to take some pics with the Pinnacle team.

Stevie finally got a haircut

We went to the salon on Friday afternoon for Steve's haircut. The last time he cut it was in September. It's amazing how much hair he had! There was a HUGE pile of it on the floor....

We've Got an Active Baby!

I went to my 15 week check-up on Thursday. The thing that made me laugh is the fact that the baby kept moving around while the doctor was checking the heartbeat so the doctor had to keep chasing after it. :-) It's amazing to think that I have a baby so small that I can't even feel it move around yet. We'll see if it continues to be active the whole pregnancy.

Oh, and guess what.... We find out the gender on February 18!

Happy New Year!!!

This year we spent New Years at my aunt Lisa's with the whole Christensen clan. Instead of staying up late playing games, we went home shortly after the count down cuz Steve had to work early the next morning. But I didn't mind-I enjoy my sleep now days! :-)

My Trip to D.C.

I flew to D.C. on December 26th and spent 5 days with my sister Tiffany, her husband Justin, and my new adorable niece Emma. It was an enjoyable and relaxing vacation-like they never left Utah at all. I enjoyed the nice meals they cooked for me, the many times we played X-box Scene It, and the many movies we watched. I also loved being able to cuddle with Emma and listen to her hiccup, sneeze, yawn, moan, and toot all day. I nick named her tootsie. :-) My aunt Jenny was also there the same time I was so we were able to do some sight seeing of downtown DC. I can't wait to see the cute little family again! Love you guys!!!

Here's the view of the Washington Memorial and the Capitol Bld from the plane ride in

It's Baby Emma!!!!

So adorable!

This is Emma wearing the little purple tutu I made her.
It didn't really turn out the way I thought it would, but that's okay cuz she still looks adorable!

X-box Scene It baby!

She is such a cuddler

I was there to witness her first nail clipping.
Sadly, Justin nicked some of her skin... but she didn't cry too much

Our sleeping arrangements... & surprisingly-it got really hot and we had to open the window.
AC & windows open in the middle of December-weird :-)

In the Metro Station on our way to downtown DC

Back view of the White House

Front view of the White House

Ya, there were fences everywhere

They had a beautiful display in front of the White House set up for the Christmas season. This tree was huge! It also had about 5 different trains and trees from every state set up around it.

The Utah Tree!

There was this huge fire set up to keep all the tourists warm. Although, I don't think it was cold enough for a Utah girl to wear a coat-can you tell? :-)

The Washington Monument

After we took this picture we had 15 minutes to walk (more like run) 3 huge blocks to try to make it to the National Archives Museum. So a lot of tourists got to watch a prego lady try to run for 10 minutes while having to use the restroom really bad. :-) We ended up getting there 4 minutes before it closed and they still wouldn't let us in. How Rude!

The Capitol Building

We walked through the art sculpture garden to use the disgusting restroom and found this outdoor skating rink. It looked like so much fun!

But instead of skating-we got some yummy hot chocolate :-)

We then went to the World War II Memorial

Then we went to the Vietnam Memorial & looked up some family names
This is my great uncle

This is one of my extended relatives on my dad's side-not sure exactly how we're related, just that we are

Night view of the Washington Monument in the reflection pool

The Lincoln Memorial

Say cheese!

After the Lincoln Memorial we walked over to the Korean War Memorial. By this point we were hungry and pretty sore from walking around for four hours. So we started walking to the Metro Station near Arlington Cemetery and once we finally got there-that particular station had closed 20 minutes earlier! So instead of trying to walk another mile or so to another Metro Station, we decided to take a taxi. :-) Boy, was it nice to finally be done walking. It was pretty funny to watch me and Jen try to walk around and sit once we finally got back. Our legs were like jello. But it was a blast!!!

Sisters!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

Steve and I had a great family filled Christmas! We started the holiday at my mom's on Christmas Eve. We opened all the presents from her, read a Christmas story, put on our Christmas pajamas, then headed to my dad's to spend the night. Here's some pics at my mom's...

Waiting to open the gifts...

We love my mommy!

Opening our new movies- Steve got Dark Knight

This is Steve's reaction to the Pep Boys gift card my sister and brother-in-law got him.
Can you tell he LOVED it!?! :-)

Showing off our PJs

When we got to my dad's we read the Christmas story and headed off to bed. It was fun sleeping in my old room-I had forgotten how cute the walls were painted. But sadly, the air blower broke and we couldn't blow up our airbeds so we slept on the floor with loads of blankets and sleeping bags. We got a laugh out of it. :-)

On Christmas morning, we woke up to the smell of delicious cinnamon rolls. Here's some pics at my dad's on Christmas morning...

My Adorable Daddy

Steve's brother Danny got us these shirts...

After Christmas morning with my dad, we headed over to the Scholle's for Christmas with the big fam...

The pretty sweet banana chairs Steve's dad got for us

Dog pile on Aaron!!!

We got Aaron these much needed (& Men's Large) snow pants

Steve likes to get high off of fruit snacks :-)

He loves Corvette's!

We look tired...

We brought my daddy along-Happy Family!

Then after Christmas with the Scholle's, we went to my aunt Lisa's house for a big Christensen family Christmas dinner. It was delicious!!!

With my mommy at the dinner

Wait, there's more... :-) And then, after dinner with the Christensen's we drove up to Midvale to open presents and eat delicious pie at Grandma Scholle's with the Scholle extended family.

It was definitely a fun filled and busy day. But we loved being with family. Family is just so awesome!!! We finally got home around 8 pm and fell asleep to a movie.

Merry Christmas!!! :-)
