I flew to D.C. on December 26th and spent 5 days with my sister Tiffany, her husband Justin, and my new adorable niece Emma. It was an enjoyable and relaxing vacation-like they never left Utah at all. I enjoyed the nice meals they cooked for me, the many times we played X-box Scene It, and the many movies we watched. I also loved being able to cuddle with Emma and listen to her hiccup, sneeze, yawn, moan, and toot all day. I nick named her tootsie. :-) My aunt Jenny was also there the same time I was so we were able to do some sight seeing of downtown DC. I can't wait to see the cute little family again! Love you guys!!!

It's Baby Emma!!!!

So adorable!

This is Emma wearing the little purple tutu I made her.
It didn't really turn out the way I thought it would, but that's okay cuz she still looks adorable!

X-box Scene It baby!

She is such a cuddler

I was there to witness her first nail clipping.
Sadly, Justin nicked some of her skin... but she didn't cry too much

Our sleeping arrangements... & surprisingly-it got really hot and we had to open the window.
AC & windows open in the middle of December-weird :-)

In the Metro Station on our way to downtown DC

Back view of the White House

Front view of the White House

Ya, there were fences everywhere

They had a beautiful display in front of the White House set up for the Christmas season. This tree was huge! It also had about 5 different trains and trees from every state set up around it.

The Utah Tree!

There was this huge fire set up to keep all the tourists warm. Although, I don't think it was cold enough for a Utah girl to wear a coat-can you tell? :-)

The Washington Monument

After we took this picture we had 15 minutes to walk (more like run) 3 huge blocks to try to make it to the National Archives Museum. So a lot of tourists got to watch a prego lady try to run for 10 minutes while having to use the restroom really bad. :-) We ended up getting there 4 minutes before it closed and they still wouldn't let us in. How Rude!

The Capitol Building

We walked through the art sculpture garden to use the disgusting restroom and found this outdoor skating rink. It looked like so much fun!

But instead of skating-we got some yummy hot chocolate :-)

We then went to the World War II Memorial

Then we went to the Vietnam Memorial & looked up some family names
This is my great uncle

This is one of my extended relatives on my dad's side-not sure exactly how we're related, just that we are

The Lincoln Memorial

Say cheese!
After the Lincoln Memorial we walked over to the Korean War Memorial. By this point we were hungry and pretty sore from walking around for four hours. So we started walking to the Metro Station near Arlington Cemetery and once we finally got there-that particular station had closed 20 minutes earlier! So instead of trying to walk another mile or so to another Metro Station, we decided to take a taxi. :-) Boy, was it nice to finally be done walking. It was pretty funny to watch me and Jen try to walk around and sit once we finally got back. Our legs were like jello. But it was a blast!!!

Sisters!
