Valentine's Day

It was fun having a three day weekend during Valentine's Day. I got to spread my holiday out over four days. :-) On Friday my students and mom spoiled me with all sorts of valentine's and treats...

I ended up sharing a lot of it with my brothers and sister. :-)

On Saturday, I was treated by my in-law's ward scouts to a gourmet homemade 5 course lunch. I was highly impressed with the late night and early morning hours the scouts put into the cooking. The meal consisted of bacon wrapped water chestnuts, shrimp cocktail soup, apple spinach salad, chicken cordon bleu, scalloped potatoes, fried vegetables, and cheesecake. It was delicious! (All except for the shrimp soup-I'm not a big fan of sea food.)

Then Saturday night Steve and I took Mary, Aaron, and Timmy to the dollar theater. Steve and I saw 2012 and the kids saw Planet 51. 2012 was a very entertaining Noah's ark story. :-)

On Sunday, I woke up to these and lots of hugs and kisses...

Steve had informed me that I wasn't allowed to buy him anything for Valentine's Day so I love note attacked our room with sticky notes. He still has them up. :-) We then went to Sage's baby blessing and spent the afternoon with our best friends and eating yummy luncheon food. Then we headed over to the Scholle's for valentine waffles. On Monday, Steve and I dropped Cooper off at Grandma Scholle's and we headed to Salt Lake to enjoy a romantic dinner at The Roof restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. (much thanks to my sister and Justin) We had a beautiful view of the temple, the piano player was magical, and the dessert buffet was ginormous. :-) It was our first time eating there and we enjoyed it but we don't think the food selection was worth the price. The atmosphere was great though!

I later found out that my valentine Minnie Mouse had a Mickey to go with her. So I went to Kmart to buy the Mickey a few days ago and guess what... I got him for 75% off-only $7!!! Sweet deal! So here are my adorable Disney valentine decorations... I'm tempted to get the Easter ones as well. :-)

So cute!
Overall, it was a love filled weekend. I love you honey!!!
