Orem Summerfest

The Summerfest was an eventful and rainy day. Cooper and I enjoyed a baby contest with Nana and some friends then we came back later with Aunt Mary for the parade, carnival, and fireworks...

Adorable Coop at the Baby Contest

Cooper scoping out the carnival while I shopped around the booths for hair flowers and Coop & Daddy's matching ties for Father's Day.

My best friend's daughter Sage joined in on the baby contest and for some reason Cooper thought it was fun to suck on her toes during the awards ceremony. :-)

Cooper enjoying the parade.
He was mesmerized!

We took aunt Mary with us

Mom and Coop watching the parade

We saw Captain Jack Sparrow...

and all the Disney princesses!
I was also ecstatic to see my school-Westmore Elementary. From the parade, Miss Burke yelled, "Hi Mrs. Scholle!" and the friends I was sitting with smiled at the sound of not being called Jessica. :-) I also thought the dancers on the horse were really cool!

Mary going down the giant slide.
Cooper and I also went down the slide but we weren't able to capture a picture of it.

Mary won a little blue puppy...

and gave it to snuggled up Cooper :-)

Mary also got her face painted!

And we enjoyed a delicious fruit and chocolate kabob!

Especially Cooper :-)

Fireworks time!

Cooper was scared at first. He kept hiding his face in my chest.

Then he thought it was fascinating and gradually...

was completely relaxed enjoying the show. :-)
I'm glad he got used to them considering the fact that he'll always see fireworks on his birthday.

Here's a little video of Cooper's reaction to the fireworks...
I love his "oh"s and "ow"s

I can't wait until next years!
